Porto Alegre team donate 400 protective masks to city’s Health Department

When first responders from the city of Porto Alegre’s Health Department flagged that they were facing a shortage of much needed PPE equipment, the team from GKN Automotive’s Porto Alegre plant offered a helping hand. The Porto Alegre team sourced and distributed 400 protective face masks, to ensure that the first responders from the Porto Alegre Health Department could continue to carry out their essential work as safely as possible.

The masks were used by first responder teams working in emergency units that were dedicated to treating COVID-19 patients. GKN Automotive is one of the largest employers in the city of Porto Alegre, and the team there often demonstrates their selflessness when helping the community in which many of their friends and family members reside, with the Porto Alegre team following up on the team’s motto that is repeated in their daily meetings “I take care of you and you take care of me”.
